Spring Fishing Report for Pipestone Lake
June 24, 2026The start of the fishing season has been on fire at Cedar Island Lodge on Pipestone Lake, Ontario.
The bass have been on their beds with large numbers and big fish being caught on jerk baits, top water baits and ned rigs.
The walleye fishing has produced numerous eaters with handfuls of large fish and a few 30” being released to be caught again. 31” is the leader on our Fun Fishing Competition board.
The hot walleye artillery has been jigs and live bait, jig and swim baits, shallow diving crank baits and spinners tipped with larger artificial bait.
The lake trout fishing has also been good. We are catching them on deep diving cranks along with jigging raps and jigging spoons.
Northern fishing is good as they transition out of the shallow bays using crankbaits, top water plugs and bucktails.
Some guests are anxiously awaiting Muskie opener June 20th.
The water temperature has reached the mid 70’s now.
Stay turned for another report in a few weeks.
